COLQUITT, TIFT, TURNER and WORTH COUNTIES, GA - News release from Moultrie Technical College
Moultrie Technical College celebrated the graduation of more than 250 allied health, business and computers, personal and public service, and technical and industrial program graduates from its four-county service area of Colquitt, Tift, Turner and Worth on Tuesday evening, April 17, at Withers Auditorium in Moultrie.
The College also honored more than 100 GED diploma graduates during the ceremony. MTC President Tina Anderson congratulated the spring semester graduating classes of 2012 as MTC Radiologic Technology instructor and Rick Perkins Instructor of the Year award winner Alfred Jones led the faculty, staff and graduate processional as the event’s marshal.
MTC’s GOAL Student of the Year Amanda Price also addressed the commencement attendees and her fellow graduates.
Members of the MTC Board of Directors, Brinson Brock of Turner County and Katrina McIntosh of Colquitt County, assisted the College's administration in the conferring of awards.
MTC Early Childhood Care and Education instructor Kathryn Kent, pictured seated far left, was unexpectedly reunited at the ceremony with a former student from her days as a mathematics teacher at Fitzgerald Junior High School in 1990.
She looks on here as President Anderson congratulates that student, Alternative Electrical Systems Technology program graduate Alvin Chukes of Tifton.
“It is so rewarding to see our students complete their path,” said Kent.
